| Eye opener--Computing Contest
With all the US/British Commonwealth tug-of-wars on this forum in the recent past, it is interesting to note that three of the top ten universities in this prestigious computing contest were from China. Former Soviet block countries did very well, too. http://icpc.baylor.edu/icpc/ "Sixty-four teams of students advancing from 3,082 teams representing over 1,300 universities in 67 countries on six continents competed for bragging rights and prizes at the World Finals of The 26th Annual ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest...." The results are here: http://icpc.baylor.edu/icpc/Finals/Standings.html Last edited by Bill Highsmith; 04-10-2002 at 04:36 PM. |
