Master of Fine Arts In Theater or Children's Theatre

Dear Board Members,

I am looking for a program that has a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre or Children's Theater. It has to be DL. She is a teacher (5 th grade) and she wants to branch out. I told her about UNT'S SLIS program and she is thinking about it. If there are any threads containing this, I havent found it. Thank you for your help.

Maybe a MALS?

This specific type of degree would be difficult to find via DL. I recommend a possibility... The Excelsior College MA in Liberal Arts allows for significant (15 SH) credit via independent study and will accept an artistic creation towards the 6 SH final project/thesis. They recently advertised this option and said to date, nobody has taken them up on thier offer. Most grads are doing more traditional thesises. The required 12 SH in Excelsior inteerdiciplinary courses sound like those that would add to any drama specialists knowledge base.

I may be giving this degree a shot next year, after my M Ed is done this Fall. My specialty will be differtn if I do it - Turkish culture probably.

Good Luck
