Best of the State Liscenced and Approved Post Secondary Educational Insitutions

Hello:

I have decided to go the state licensed route for my MBA.

I have narrowed down my choices to be:

Pacific Western
Barrington University
Senior University International
Kennedy-Western

I realize that to folks considering only RA options none of the schools presented would be viable. However, I feel that a state licensed and approved degree for me would be satisfactory. All are visited by their state's DoE and subject to reviews.

Amongst the lot, I am leaning towards Barrington. Why, I am truly fascinated with their INNOVATION MBA program.

http://www.barrington.edu/innovation.html

I spoke with the instructor this evening and he is an Innovation Expert. He leads a company and develops the courses for Barrington. His company jut won a huge project rolling out Innovation at a Large Food Conglomerate. Apparently CEO's are seeking innovation.

What appeals to me about PW is the $$$, for less than $3,000.00 I can earn an MBA.

Senior is also appealing because it is project based.

Kennedy has it's merits and a quality EMBA option.

State Licensed Bigotry aside - what do the smart folks at Degree Info suggest amongst the four presented? In my opinion, the four represented are solid schools in the State Licensed arena.

Thanks

RJT - perhaps one day, Innovative Certified.

The last I read about Senior, they were seeking to be accredited in South Africa. Is that still on the cards?

Cheers,

George

I cannot recommend any of the ones you mention, but I must warn you that Senior International University is not cosidered a Canadian University although it is physically located in Canada, so I have no idea why you have it as a state approved since they only have a post secondary license to operate a school in the province of British Columbia. I have heard only bad comments about it and seen some pictures of its primacies (not impressive at all).

Barrington is a fraud, when I requested information about this fine institution i was offered a degree for few thousands and a few pages thesis.

From your list, pacific western seems to be the best from the worst. Some guys are actually teaching with its degrees in Canada.

That is exactly what this is about - US$3,000 is the fee for their Hawaii based Master's degree. The California MBA is charged US$6,500.

Are you sure that you get this HI - CA thing right, RJT?

This is just another red herring, not worth chasing.

Yep. RJT likes to throw the tennis balls to see who will chase after them. It would be interesting to know which degree mill she/he is connected with.

He's associated with KWU. (I assume RJT is male?) He appears to be a troll or shill.

If he's a real student then he's just digging his hole deeper by considering another unaccredited degree. I admit that there may be minimal utility to an unaccredited degree topping off one's resume. I can see no utility in basing an entire academic career on degree mills as RJT claims to be doing. One could more easily and cheaply fabricate the whole academic career based on degree mills that have gone out of business? It would be just as verifiable as RJT's academic resume will likely eventually become? Wyoming and Montana will eventually pass laws that chase the degree mills out of their states. At that point what do you plan to do, RJT?

Senior University is licensed in Wyoming. Even though it uses the name Senior University, I believe it is licensed as Senior College in British Columbia, where it has no degree granting authority. It also claims accreditation from an impressive sounding association of Canadian career colleges (PhD in filing?).

That may or may not be correct. RJT has stated such but it is clear she/he plays fast and loose with the truth. It wouldn't surprise me if nothing she/he has said is true. All of the statements seemed based on enertainment value.

State Licensed Bigotry aside
BTW RJT, what happened to SCUPS and Clermont? Did you investigate them too much and therefore had to discard them? What I suggest is that if you critically investigate each school in the search area that you've limited yourself then, you will end up exactly in the place that John Bear suggested. You will find that you won't want to be a member of any club that will accept you. If you are even close to what you claim to be then I suggest you go back and reread John Bear's last post.

Regarding your statement, "State Licensed Bigotry aside ,,," , it is ridiculous statements like this that have marked you as a likely shill or troll. It screams such stupidity that I have a very difficult time believing that someone could actually believe it. Are you aware that probably all degree mills that have been proven frauds in a court of law had a state license to operate? KWU lost their state license in two states before they ended up in Wyoming. I doubt they've changed their academic program that much since then. If state license is so important to you why is it unimportant that KWU had to bounce to new states to get new licenses?
