multiple levels
Witin the usa there is regional accreditation, which most people take as the gold standard. DETC accredition which is sort of like a hillbilly cousin. The state approval which is sort of like a foster child. and finally those with accreditation from unknown sources.
There is also the complication that in many cases the appropriate profession must sanctify the program. Hence some Calif approved programs may allow someone to sit for the bar in Calif or sit for a psycholgical credential. But pretty much only in Calif. The international question is even harder to sort out. Some places have acts of pariliament. Some have dept. of ed. approval. Some have both. It kind of depends what you are looking for. All the best! |
